Through a dynamic choral experience, Harmonia provides young singers a place to blossom as musicians and community members. Children are introduced to singing in two part harmony in a variety of songs from around the world. Each rehearsal includes lessons on singing technique, and exercises to develop sight-singing and ear training skills using solfeggi. The singers also participate in folk dancing sessions to practice their developing sense of musicality.
Harmonia performs in the Columbia Choirs concert series and in the community throughout the year.
Young singers will be admitted to Harmonia upon audition or by promotion from Melodia.
